After waking from your power nap, you will likely enjoy these benefits:
Lunch hours and coffee breaks may be great times to slip into snoozes. While few have the luxury of being able to take a nap at the office if your workplace doesn’t have unique rooms for snoozes. However, we found some practical tips that would help.
1. NAP IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM
Most companies have several conference rooms that you can schedule for a nap. Unlike the offices, conference rooms often have doors without windows in them. That ensures that the room is dark enough, and darkness will make you fall asleep faster. Also, it is a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. Of course, please remember to set a wake-up alarm.
Satin is slightly cheaper than silk because it can be easily mass-produced from inexpensive materials.
2. INVEST IN A SILK SLEEP MASK
Try to make your area as dim as possible. If you can't get a private space for sleep, investing in a sleep mask is vital. A silk eye mask helps you block out the light and keep in the softest comfort. You can keep it in the office without taking up space. Earplugs might help, too, which is essential to noise reduction.
3. FIND A COMFORTABLE SLEEPING POSITION
If the office doesn’t have much room for sleeping mats, sleep on a chair. It may be a nice idea to buy a multifunctional chair that allows you to lie on your back.
4. BUY A WARM BLANKET
No matter what season, a blanket is needed in an air-conditioned room. A comfortable temperature can relax your brain and let you fall asleep quickly. That is why many people like to sleep in silk pajamas. Yes, real silk has good temperature regulation performance. (But this is not to encourage you to go to work in your pajamas.)
5. NAP FOR AROUND 20 MINUTES
If you sleep a little longer, you are likely to be groggier than before taking a nap. Surely, you can try and find the right nap length for you.
Now that you know how to take a power nap at your office, try it out for yourself. Just don’t forget these essentials: an eye mask, earplugs, a blanket, and a comfortable chair. And be careful not to oversleep!
